Lyka is a flexible meal plan designed to fit into your existing feeding routine. You can divide their total daily serving across as many meals as you like, based on what works best for you and your pup.
We recommend keeping a consistent feeding routine where possible, particularly when transitioning to Lyka.
How to serve the Full Bowl Plan
The Full Bowl plan provides 100% of your pup’s daily Lyka serving.
You can feed their total daily serving across as many meals as you’d like. If feeding twice a day, divide the daily serving between the two meals.
For example, if your pup’s daily serving is 500g:
- Once a day: 500g in one meal
- Twice a day: 250g for breakfast, 250g for dinner
How to serve the Half Bowl Plan
The Half Bowl plan is designed to provide 50% of your pup’s daily food, with the remaining 50% coming from another diet of your choice.
The amount of Lyka you should feed each day depends on your pup’s personalised serving size. Your Plan shows exactly how much Lyka to feed your pup each day.
How much of a pouch should I feed?
Depending on your pup’s personalised serving size, you may feed half a pouch, one pouch, one and a half pouches, or another amount each day.
The number of pouches you feed each day depends on your pup’s serving size:
- If your pup’s Half Bowl daily serving is 350g or less, you’ll receive a larger pouch designed to be split across two days.
- If your pup’s Half Bowl daily serving is 400g or more, you’ll receive pouches intended to provide their daily Lyka serving.
For the most accurate serving instructions, always check your pup’s My Plan in your Lyka account.
You’ll also need to provide the remaining 50% of your pup’s daily food from the other food you’ve chosen.
How do I store an open pouch?
If you're splitting a pouch across meals or days, store the remaining portion in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
