We’re always looking for ways to thoughtfully improve our meals while keeping the experience familiar for Lyka pups. As part of this, we’ve made a small update to our Lamb Bowl recipe by adding lamb spleen, lamb kidney, and carrots.
These ingredients have been chosen for their nutritional benefits and to support our whole-food approach to fresh dog food. The Lamb Bowl remains complete and balanced, with the same levels of protein, fat, and carbohydrates.
What’s changing?
We’ve added three new whole-food ingredients to our Lamb Bowl:
- Lamb spleen
- Lamb kidney
- Carrots
Lamb remains the primary protein in the recipe, and the bowl continues to be made with high-quality, human-grade ingredients.
You may notice a slight difference in the appearance or aroma of the meal, including a lighter colour or small orange flecks from the carrots. Natural variation can already occur between batches, and this update is not expected to dramatically change your pup’s mealtime experience.
Why we’re making this update
This update allows us to include more nutrient-rich whole-food ingredients in the Lamb Bowl, while keeping the meal familiar, nourishing, and balanced.
Organ meats like lamb kidney and lamb spleen are naturally rich in important nutrients that can support your dog’s overall wellbeing. They’re commonly valued in canine nutrition as part of a whole-animal approach to feeding.
Carrots are also a nutritious whole-food ingredient and are naturally rich in beta-carotene, which supports healthy vision and overall eye health.

Lamb spleen is naturally rich in nutrients like iron, vitamin B12, and zinc. These nutrients help support healthy red blood cells, everyday energy, and overall vitality.
Lamb kidney provides high-quality protein and contains B vitamins, selenium, iron, zinc, and vitamin A. These nutrients help support energy metabolism, immune health, and muscle maintenance.
Carrots are a source of beta-carotene and add gentle whole-food nutrition to the bowl, supporting healthy eyes and overall wellbeing.
