In our experience, even the pickiest eaters go crazy for Lyka.
If your pup doesn’t take to it straight away, there’s almost always a simple fix. It’s one of the most common questions we hear - and the good news is that most dogs find their stride with a few small adjustments.
In this article, we’ll walk you through the four most common solutions: switching meals, slowing the transition, trying a Starter Box, and pausing your plan while you find the right fit.
Try a different meal
If your pup doesn't like Lyka, a protein switch is the most effective first step - and often all it takes. Pups have strong taste preferences, and finding the right match makes all the difference.
Slow the transition down
If your pup doesn't like Lyka and has recently switched from a different food, their gut needs time to catch up - not a sign something is wrong. Mix a small amount of Lyka with their previous food and gradually increase the ratio over five days. Some pups need a little longer - follow their lead.
Try a Starter Box
If your pup doesn't like Lyka and you're not yet on a full plan, the Starter Box lets you sample a smaller quantity across different recipes before committing. A lower-stakes way to find what your pup loves.
Delay your next delivery
If your pup doesn't like Lyka and you need more time to work it out, delay your next delivery so nothing builds up while you find the right recipe.
